Barocal has been awarded €2.45 million in grant funding from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator, as part of its latest funding round.
This was the most competitive round to date, with over 1,200 applications submitted across Europe. Just 71 companies were selected for funding, following a multi-stage evaluation process. The EIC is committing up to €161 million in grants and €226 million in equity investments to support high-potential startups and SMEs bringing breakthrough innovations to market.
The funding will support Barocal’s next phase of development, including scaling up our technology, growing the team, and preparing for deployment.
